Donya Zimmerman

Donya Zimmerman’s alter ego is the Powerful Biz Woman. The Powerful Biz Woman mission is to educate Aspiring Entrepreneurs and Business Owners on the importance of Protecting Biz A$$ets. She is a Business Educator, Cover Your Biz A$$ets Expert, Author, Show Host, and Public Speaker.  Donya received her Juris Doctorate (JD) in Law from University of Baltimore Law School.  Donya is passionate about working with young people and works as a Teacher with Baltimore County Public Schools.

She has created the Ultimate Business Conversation that airs on Facebook Live and You Tube.  Donya discusses everything Business Startup and Entrepreneurial Mindset.  The Ultimate Business Conversation airs every Wednesday at 8:00 pm. 

 

Donya has conducted several workshops and speaking engagements on business startups, Business Law 101, and Business Finances 101.

Donya has started a movement, with Co-Founder, Alina Lopez Thomas, the Ultimate Biz Consultants. The mission of The UBC Team is to educate Aspiring Entrepreneurs and Seasoned Entrepreneurs on how to “Cover Their A$$ets” and "Bankrupt Proof Your Biz" while in business. The UBC Team conducts The Ultimate Biz Conference on a yearly basis. The Annual Conference focuses on educating Aspiring Entrepreneurs and Business Owners on the importance of building a strong legal and financial foundation to "Protect Your Biz A$$ets". The UBC Movement goal is to educate Entrepreneurs and Business Owners on how to "Bankrupt Your Biz" for longevity in business.  

 

The First Annual Ultimate Biz Conference was held in Boston, MA on June 23rd and 24th, 2017. The Second Annual Ultimate Biz Conference had to go to Virtual due to COVID-19 and it was held June 25th to 27th, 2020. The Third Annual Ultimate Biz Conference was held on June 25th & 26th, 2021. The theme for the 3rd Annual UBC Event was "How to Bankrupt Proof Your Business!" For UBC2022: Bankrupt Proof Your Biz, the UBC Team has decided to conduct 4 quarterly conferences for 2022.

Donya has contributed to several book collaborations that focus on business startup, business law 101, and business finances 101.  She will be publishing her own book "Bankrupt Proof Your Biz" with a launch date in November 2022.

Being​ ​G.R.O.W.N,​ ​is​ ​a​ ​business​ ​and​ ​a​ ​lifestyle!​ ​As​ ​a​ ​women​ ​I’ve​ ​always​ ​considered​ ​myself​ ​to be​ ​well​ ​rounded​ ​and​ ​versed.​ ​After​ ​high school,​ ​I​ ​began​ ​my​ ​career​ ​as​ ​a​ ​tradeswomen​ ​in​ ​the Carpentry​ ​Industry.​ ​Amazingly​ ​enough,​ ​I​ ​loved​ ​it!.​ ​Unfortunately,​ ​the​ ​recession​ ​hit​ ​hard​ ​and​ ​I had​ ​to​ ​baled​ ​to​ ​survive​ ​financially. 

​

I​ ​have always​ ​had​ ​an​ ​innate​ ​ability​ ​to​ ​help​ ​people​ ​by​ ​building​ ​strong​ ​relationships,​ ​therefore​ ​it seemed​ ​only​ ​natural​ ​to​ ​begin​ ​a​ ​career​ ​in​ ​the​ ​human​ ​service​ ​field.​ ​For​ ​over,​ ​20​ ​years​ ​I​ ​worked​ ​in the​ ​Public​ ​Sector​ ​for​ ​the​ ​Commonwealth​ ​of​ ​Massachusetts​ ​at​ ​an​ ​agency​ ​were​ ​I​ ​gave​ ​it​ ​my​ ​all​ ​on daily.​ ​I​ ​believed​ ​in​ ​the​ ​work​ ​I​ ​did.

​

The​ ​Greater​ ​Resource​ ​of​ ​Women​ ​Networks​ ​(G.R.O.W.N)​ ​was​ ​formed.​ ​G.R.O.W.N.’s​ ​mission​ ​is to​ ​empower​ ​all​ ​women​ ​to​ ​feel​ ​confident​ ​in​ ​the​ ​skills​ ​they​ ​have​ ​to​ ​reach​ ​a​ ​level​ ​of​ ​success​ ​in​ ​the career​ ​path​ ​they​ ​have​ ​chosen​ ​or​ ​as​ ​an​ ​entrepreneur.​ ​Many​ ​of​ ​the​ ​women​ ​make​ ​a​ ​life​ ​change and​ ​take​ ​their​ ​transferable​ ​skills​ ​and​ ​develop​ ​themselves​ ​and​ ​their​ ​start-ups.​ ​

Public​ ​speaking,​ ​coaching,​ ​leadership​ ​and​ ​master​ ​networking​ ​skills​ ​are​ ​natural​ ​for​ ​me.​ ​As​ ​a co-business​ ​owner/host​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Ultimate​ ​Biz​ ​Conference​ ​(UBC)​ ​my​ ​presentations​ ​in​ ​business planning​ ​have​ ​become​ ​mastered.​ ​Along​ ​with​ ​the​ ​ability​ ​to​ ​bring​ ​excitement​ ​into​ ​the​ ​event​ ​room, our​ ​UBC​ ​events​ ​have​ ​provided​ ​powerful​ ​entrepreneurial​ ​resources​ ​for​ ​start-up​ ​businesses.​ ​The Chief​ ​Founder​ ​of​ ​the​ ​National​ ​Early​ ​Education​ ​Hub​ ​(NEEHUB)​ ​a​ ​consultant​ ​resource​ ​and​ ​early education​ ​job​ ​board. 

 

I​ ​hold​ ​an​ ​Undergraduate​ ​degree​ ​in​ ​Business​ ​Management​ ​and​ ​have​ ​years​ ​of​ ​experience​ ​in quality​ ​assurance/control​ ​and​ ​compliance. ​ ​A​ ​Business​ ​Planning​ ​Certificate​ ​from​ ​the​ ​Center​ ​of Women​ ​and​ ​Enterprise​ ​(CWE)​ ​and​ ​a​ ​thorough​ ​knowledge​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Early​ ​Education​ ​and​ ​Child Care​ ​Field. ​ Recently, completing my Home Health Aid Certification and Certified Nursing Training.

I believe in the vision of G.R.O.W.N. Women which is to provide a resource and networking organization for women that gives them the power and freedom to launch their start-up entrepreneurial business by developing your transferable skills.
